so it’s been a while since my last post–navigating New York took it out of me– but now I am rested and ready to share.

Now-a-days I am working at The L Magazine producing cover designs and editorial spreads. The work has me pausing longer than usual in front of magazine racks, taking in the type, illustrations, photography and their porportions to each other.

Classics, like New York, Esquire, and Vogue, always catch my eye – but COMPLEX magazine whips up some amazing stuff as well. I don’t purchase the mag myself, but when I see covers like the ones above, I think about it…

Brunch and WiFi

This place is such a nice oasis. Yummy selection of food at a good price and nice portions. Today, I went there for brunch and some WiFi email action. I got roasted banana french toast, sausage, mimosa, blueberry muffins, and wonderful service.

Night at Pianos

After yummy dinner at Schiller’s ( www.schillersny.com ), we went to see Allison Pierce play at Pianos ( www.pianosnyc.com/ ). Cool small venue, but would love to the see the same set unplugged.

Meet up with some friends, and actually ran into a high school classmate I hadn’t seen for four-ish years. Totally random.

Moving to NYC June 10th

With less than ten days till my big move, nerves start to set in.

I refuse to call them doubts, but questions arise…Is it too soon? I’m a ready? Will I get a job? Why I’m I really going?

That’s the kicker – why I’m I going? Why I’m I so drawn to New York City? Why do I want to claim my part in history there?

In the days to come I will answer these questions. Until then, I have to pack…
